Here´s the noticias,
I`m not sure if I ever mentioned that the Dominican Republic is amazing...
Well it is.
I just noticed this week how used to this country I am. Examples:
- It is not weird to me anymore to have loud music playing in the streets 20 hours a day.
- I have almost forgotten what warm showers are like (and they don´t seem very apealing)
- I almost got hit by a motorcycle last night. Not phased.
- I prayed in English the other day. It felt weird.
- I gave someone directions this week. Estoy platanao.
- I know all the words to the song they play every morning at the school next to our house.
- Lucrio (spelling?) is my favorite dish. Which is really just basically rice and beans.
- The guy at the colmado, Juan, knows my name. (We might start teaching his son this week)
- This place is my home.
We are going to the Temple (again!!) this week. I am really excited.
We
are teaching some of the coolest people on the planet. We have an
investigator who can´t walk... Pretty sure he is coming to church this
week. We also have a new family we are teaching that actually asked us
if they could come to church with us before we had the opportunity to
invite them. They arrived before us to sacrament meeting. Also the ward
leaders are working closer with us than ever before.
I am so excited for this week. We have such big plans.
con un plato de arroz y habichuelas,
